The Springbok Lobby Jackpot: a small coin riding on every spin
The Springbok Lobby Jackpot is an opt-in side jackpot. Once you join, Springbok's terms add a compulsory R0.08 bet to every slot spin you play, and a win is paid as real money with no playthrough, unless it lands while you are playing through a deposit bonus or cashback. Free bonuses cannot contribute.
Below: what that costs over a session, and the parts Springbok leaves unsaid.

What the Lobby Jackpot is, in plain terms
Most jackpots at Springbok belong to a game. The Lobby Jackpot does not: it is not a tile in the Progressives tab, but a separate pot that rides along with the slots once you have enrolled. Verified · 9 October 2026
The whole rule set lives in one clause of Springbok's terms and conditions. Pulled apart, it says four things:
It is opt-in. Nobody is enrolled by default.
Once in, the bet is compulsory. Every slot spin carries a R0.08 Lobby Jackpot bet; you do not choose spin by spin.
Wins are real money. No playthrough is attached, with one exception: a win that lands while you are playing a deposit bonus or cashback.
Free bonuses cannot contribute. Money you were given without a deposit does not feed it.
The lobby's own game settings show the same per-spin cost, so the terms and the software agree on the price. Because the clause speaks of slot spins, hands at the Caribbean poker tables are not part of it; those tables have their own pot, covered on the Caribbean side-bet page.
Lobby Jackpot cost per spin, and over a session
A few cents a spin sounds like nothing, which is why it is worth adding up. As we read the clause, the R0.08 is a bet of its own, so it sits on top of your reel stake rather than coming out of it.

Calculated from the per-spin bet in Springbok's terms. Your own stake on each spin comes on top of these amounts.
The add-on is the same on every slot, so it weighs most on small stakes. On a very high-volatility game such as Aztec's Millions, it keeps ticking through long dry runs. On Megasaur, with three jackpot tiers of its own, every spin then chases two sets of pots.
How Lobby Jackpot wins are paid: cash, with two exceptions
A Lobby Jackpot win is paid as real money, with no playthrough to clear, which is unusual at Springbok, where most extra money arrives with wagering attached. The exceptions depend on what you were playing at the time:

The terms do not say how much playthrough then applies, or whether it follows the bonus you were playing. Ask Springbok's support before you rely on either reading.
For context, deposit bonuses at Springbok carry 30x wagering on deposit plus bonus Verified · 9 October 2026, and the cashback offer of 25% carries 10x playthrough Verified · 9 October 2026. A Lobby Jackpot win in the middle of either is the one case where the pot does not arrive clean.
Free bonuses and the Lobby Jackpot
Springbok's terms define free money broadly: no-deposit coupons, loyalty, VIP and birthday bonuses, compensation bonuses and tournament prizes all count as money given without a deposit. Verified · 9 October 2026 The Lobby Jackpot clause says free bonuses cannot contribute, so spins funded that way do not feed the pot.
That includes the R250 free chip from the promotions page. What the clause does not settle is whether a spin played on free money can still win the Lobby Jackpot, and free-spin coupons are not named in the free-money list at all. If either matters, keep the Lobby Jackpot question for deposited play.
What Springbok does not publish about the Lobby Jackpot
The clause sets the price and the payout terms. Almost everything else is missing from Springbok's public pages, so here are the gaps rather than guesses.
How a win is triggered
Not published. There is no pay-table combination or rule on record for landing it.
The odds of winning
Not published, and the live pot size says nothing about them.
How to join or leave
The opt-in step inside the lobby is not described on any public page, and neither is opting out.
Where your bet goes
How much of each bet builds the pot, and what it restarts at after a win, is not stated.
Ask Springbok's support team; the current pot is shown only in the lobby.
Should you switch the Lobby Jackpot on? A short checklist
This is a cost decision, not a strategy.
1
Count your spins
Take a normal week of slot play and price it with the table above. That is the add-on's price, win or lose.
2
Compare it with your stake
If the add-on is a large slice of your usual spin, it changes your budget more than it looks.
3
Check your bonus status
Mid-way through a deposit bonus or cashback, a win would carry playthrough.
4
Fold it into your limit
Count the add-on inside your session budget, not on top of it. If the total no longer fits, leave it off.
One more pot is still a long shot
A jackpot you can win on any slot is easy to keep chasing. If it stops being fun, talk to the National Responsible Gambling Programme on 0800 006 008 (free, 24 hours a day) or on WhatsApp at 076 675 0710. Springbok also offers deposit limits and self-exclusion through its support team. Verified · 9 October 2026
An opt-in side jackpot linked to the slots. After you join, Springbok's terms add a compulsory R0.08 bet to every slot spin. Wins are paid as real money without playthrough, except during deposit-bonus or cashback play.
Do Lobby Jackpot wins have wagering requirements?
Not normally: the terms pay them as real money with no playthrough. The exception is a win that lands while you are playing a deposit bonus or cashback; then playthrough applies, and the terms do not say how much.
Can the free chip or other free bonuses win the Lobby Jackpot?
The terms say free bonuses cannot contribute to it. Whether a spin on free money can still win it is not stated, so we do not assume it can.
How do I opt in to the Lobby Jackpot?
Springbok does not describe the opt-in step on its public pages. The clause only confirms that joining is optional; ask support or look in the lobby once logged in.
